Tracks
We have a large amount of tour descriptions on different levels available for free to all clients renting a bike with us. Apart from that we offer a new service per GPS. A handhold GPS device can be rented wit pre-programmed tours on it. It makes your biking holiday much easier as you don’t need to search the right tracks on maps! The day price for the GPS is 15€, the week price is 40€. It’s like renting your private guide!
Tour descriptions
MONTAÑAS NEGRAS (medium level)
This tour starts of in the shade of mounth Teide on the south part of the island at an altitude of 1100hmt. We first pas the site where the last active lava stream passed some 100 years ago. From here we bike into the national protected area of montañas negras where we come on to a black ,moon like surface after an uphill in the forrest. From there we go again into the forest followed by a downhill to the town of Santiago del teide. Here we have an ‘’apres bike’’ at a local bar to cool down befor getting back in the bus to el Médano.
VILAFLOR (easy to medium level)
The Vilaflor tour starts of in the highest town of the whole of Spain at an altitude of 1400hmt. Here we have a warm up climb on the main road passing the local water company. before we go of on the dirt. Once on the dirt, our tour continues through the pine forrest untill we reach the highest point of our tour at almost 1700htm. where we pass the begining of the Cañadas, surrounding the month Teide. From there we go back down on the dirt road until we reach our starting point in Vilaflor, where we make an ‘’apres bike’’ in a local bar.
ESPERANZA TOUR. (medium to hard level)
Here we start off in the pine forrest passing and overlooking the northern part of the island towards the ‘’la Orotava valley’’. After a long and steep uphill we pass a road to continue our tour on the other side of the island, with a complete different vegetation (eucaliptus forrest) where we get treated on a view over the eastern part of the island. After some climbs and downhill we reach our starting point where we end the tour with an ‘’apres bike’’ in a local bar.
BIKE PARK (downhill only/ all levels)
Every week we drive to the bike park in Tegueste (North side of the island). Special bike and protection gear is included. (If you have your own stuff, you are welcome to use that as well) A little bit of biking experience is required to enjoy the pistes. A van and trailer drives round to take the people up again.
